Through exercises, projects, and group activities, students are given the means to relate abstract theories and concepts to their own personality development and experience. Many exercises deal with private aspects of students’ lives and are designed to be completed individually out of the classroom and reviewed by the instructor. Other classroom exercises involve working with peers in small-groups.
